Macan S and Macan Turbo are B-Street, so I guess it's fine..?

Well, there we are.  I really cannot understand why anyone would run those in B Street.

One of our students ran a Macan at the PCA school a few weeks ago. Not fast but allowable.
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

So, sixth event of the series this past Saturday in London Ontario at beautiful Fanshawe college tiny parking lot.

Fastest run of the day

That was good for #1 Pax and #2 Raw.

Now, I am back on top of the club series with only two events to go.

Some thoughts on car setup and balance.  I have been on the OZ with 245/255 staggered tires, but also have my second set of stock wheels with 245 square on them which I have been switching between this year.  I have heard mixed opinions on running a 255 wide in the rear and that it makes it difficult to rotate the car.

What I have found with the staggered 245/255 the car has become less predictable, or harder to tune with just the Karcepts bar in front.  The bar has 6 adjustment points on it, and I am running the 0.188" hollow bar.  I ran it on hole 4, which was on the stiffer range.  I adjusted it to hole 2 on my 245 square and I found the balance to be near perfect.  With the staggered 245/255 I backed it off to hole 1, the least stiffest setting and I feel the car still has the tendency to push mid to late corner.  Part of me is wondering if I am just bouncing off the bump stops on the front shocks which is causing a spike in spring rate which forces the front tires to break loose.  I have tried to adjust my breaking in corners so that I am not turning when the full weight is transferred onto the front, and I think it has helped things, but still it is more difficult to drive with the staggered setup.  The 245 square setup I felt was easier to drive, but logic would tell me the staggered setup should be faster.

The trouble all along is that the low speed courses in some of these smaller lots cause the car to understeer due to the large diameter bar. The large course, like an airport course allow the speed and balance to come into play.

I am on the fence what to do with this car next year.  I mean, I am very competitive locally and somewhat in the Province, which would probably improve with more seat time and better driving.  I would really love to take it into full STR prep but I am reluctant to spend that kind of money.  This has me on the fence about selling it and moving into something different, potentially with a little more power.

For now, just focus on winning the club series.  Then think about what's next.

Just when I thought I could let this thread die, you bring it back.

Well, may as well post my "fastest" video from the event on Sunday.  I am still adjusting to solostorm, so the PIP is not quite in sync, will get it right next time. Also, not super happy with the position of it, may try the right side.

After the morning I was in 12th place. In the afternoon with the course changes everyone got faster, so did I. The only trouble is people got even faster than me. My goal would be to crack the top 10 this year at least once, with a full crowd.

Solostorm analysis shows after the fact that I would regularly get speed in one area to lose it in another, and not due to the changes I had made. I am starting to think about focus and how I may be thinking too much about one thing and neglecting the rest.

Also, I had my front sway bar way too soft for the first run, the car was a bit unpredictable, I had it on the second softest setting, I moved it two positions to the 3rd hardest and the car got better, for the next event I may try the second hardest out of 6 settings and see how it balances out.

Man, 18th?  Maybe I should try autox in Chatham; I might end up in the top 10.

I didn't realize you wanted this thread dead.  Anyone ever tell you you're a pretty good looking dude with a helmet on?

Probably you could if you could stop hitting so many cones you would be top 10.

Nice photo name, assay. Good photo though still.

Maybe there's bias because, it's white, it's Honda, it has gold OZ's, it's Adam, but this car sucks balls and so does the driver.

You're complaining about a corner when Gabe in an understeering pig of a Subaru made it?

The worst part about data is realizing when you combine the fastest sectors between all your runs you could have been fighting for first or maybe second.

That misshift at the end. Also, noticed mid run that the VDC was on for this run and turned it off before entering the slalom. It did not really engage that much until the turn around.

Nice car man..   seeing your pictures in your FS thread I really miss my 06 GPW; it was a year older and had double the km's..

I still get to see it when I go to Invision Auto Imports, but they've riced it out..  white wheels, all the Honda aero bits, and a CF hardtop.

What's next for you?
They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?
