inb4 deported for sex crimes.

Must be why he was in such a rush to get his citizenship. I hear prison in Canada is much nicer than in Australia. Well, less rapey anyways.

Updated post #3 with todays progress.

That electrical, tho. I'd want to gut everything and run lumex.
It's all paneled in. No uckfaying way.

Man, you got too much time on your hands..
Yes. Yes I have.

I'm pretty sure the housewives tooling around in yellow school buses all morning in my community while high on amyl nitrate don't have a class 3 either.
Can't buy poppers in Canada any more. If you know where you can please provide your source.

Back to the van...

How much does that rolling roadblock weigh?  What percentage of that is plywood?

That's a great question. Right now we haven't had the chance but I'm sure we can try one of the roadside highway weigh stations. Driving around town is slow... despite a fluid flush the brake pedal goes a bit low for my taste and stopping quickly isn't an option with all that weight. Plus, you don't plant your foot anyway because unsecured stuff moves around (to be resolved) and #fueleconomy.

Updated post #3 with progress under the date heading 11-Dec-2015

Summary:
- installed electrical... and solar is now hooked back up to batteries
- installed the battery box in its final resting location
- installed black vinyl on the rear window (thanks Betacuts)
- fired up the propane furnace

To do list:
- finish panelling the step
- buy door socks to stop those drafts
- black vinyl the side window next to the electrical panel (maybe not)
- leak test gas piping
- re-do the inverter ground connection. Pop riveting a 12AWG cable isn't too impressive
- cut battery box vent hole in van wall
- fab up removable insulation panels for single pane windows
- re-install cabinet doors
- install one shiny lug nut, paint it black
- start researching a cable route to route shore AC into the electrical cabinet
- relocate spare battery inside the cabin
- hook up the deep cycle batteries to the van alternator

resettable 30A fuse

Did you mean: circuit breaker

Why a 1000W inverter, but only 25A (Or did you settle on 30A?) fuse coming from the batteries? That's only 300/360W.

And seriously consider a Pure Sine Wave inverter. I have a modified sine wave inverter that I've been using to run my laptop, and the laptop power supply makes a very unnerving buzz.

We had a modified sine wave inverter sold with the car. Pure sine wave ain't cheap and we're still on a budget. As for fuse/breaker capacity... I already claimed I knew uckfay all about electricity and I'm happy for folks to speak up when they see faults (pun intended) in the system.

If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

Yep, I'm aware that it's looming. I still have one more reserved post, but I think I should just start a chronological index and move the sub-heading posts to their own entry.

This always bugs me. DC to ac to DC again.
I wish computer manufacturers made DC to DC power supplies more available (a cord with a voltage limiter in it)
