You know what I think. K swap is near bullet proof, plus you'll still have the meth when you do it.  >:D

I had mine made by Quentin's dad down here, he works for Magnetsigns. They have franchises all over, that or go to a print shop like VistaPrint or whatever
you can find up there...

I tried vistaprint before but they cancelled my order. I just ordered a set again and see if they will come.

In other news I have a meth injection kit coming. I decided to go with meth injection route instead of inter-cooling just to keep the pressure loss minimal but keep the charge temps down. The supercharger only runs mild boost anyways so minimizing pressure drop is key.

The car is pretty much ready to go for the August 5th ASA Lapping event. The only thing I want to do is get some better brake fluid in the car and see how it runs. Next year will be a bit more exciting with the addition of the oil cooler, meth injection, tune and potentially a Wilwood BBK for the front.

I wasn't super duper happy with how my Vistaprint magnets stuck to my NA's doors, but the magnets were cheap... and I suspect that door had some Bondo in it.

Vinyl.

What, are you worried big numbers on the door are "too extreme" looking for your subtle and understated Miata?  :P

ASA lapping is this Sunday and I plan to attend and get the car on track. Only things I really wanted to do were install the wide-band and flush the brake fluid with something a bit more track orientated. Where in the city do people get some high performance brake fluid?

Got the wideband installed and mounted last night. It was previously in the car but was pulled prior to the sale for some reason. The shop that did the uninstall left the O2 sensor installed but unplugged. Sure enough the sensor is toast so I ordered a bosch replacement from Amazon.

I heard you can get ATE Typ200 for reasonable prices from Wheaton Honda. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this weekend. Will see you at the next one.

Its only the west side (1/2 course) of the course so I should be fine with brand new Castrol Dot 4 fluid. For a full day of track I will change to something else.

I used Castrol brake fluid for time attack and never had problems. For ChumpCar, a lot of guys use NAPA or Canadian Tire high temp brake fluid.

Yeah we use whatever cheap high temp stuff is at PartSource.
I've gotten motul brake fluid (5.1 and RBF600) from motorcycle shops, and Eurasia used to carry ATE Type200.

Cheap and high temp = Castrol Dot 4
I should be ok then. I will replace with RBF600 or equivalent for next year.

I know Cagare had some RBF600 shipped to my place from fortnine.ca, for his S2000.

So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Could also run Ford Dot 4, or Dot 3, it's the stuff they used in the Ford GT, and every other Ford, great fluid for cheap, with similar wet boiling points to other fluids, plus not as hydrophilic, don't quote me on the exact fluid.

Ford seems to have good fluids.  Beau introduced me to their High Performance DOT3 brake fluid which is also good and cheap.

Internet says the dry/wet boiling point is 550F/284F, but amazon says it's 500F/284F.  The bottle I have says the wet boiling is 293F.

This Corvette guy says the stuff is just repackaged Castrol SRF:

Finished installing the Innovate MTX-L with brand new Bosch 17025 sensor. Everything works as it should with no more dreaded E8 codes.

I attended my first lapping day last night. I managed to complete all 3 20 minute sessions without any sort of major trouble. Cylinder 3 misfired on the way to the track and threw a code but the car still ran fine. I pulled the plugs and it looks like they just needed replacing so I ordered some new ones.

This was my first actual track event and I had an absolute blast. I decided to run in the faster group and that was a good decision as there was very little traffic. Car is very neutral and pretty quick in the corners with R comps. I definitely want to take a track day school next year and work on my lines and driving.

Here is my best run of the night. My best time was 1:01.89. Things to work on for next event are to deal with the heat soak via water methanol injection and to tune the car.
