I also detailed a black AP2 and the paint was very easy to work with. I have detailed 3 S2Ks now and I knocked them out in around 7-8 hours from start to finish.

I saw you detailed Daniel's silver S2000, it looked great!  He owns that Civic RT4WD I had now too.

I don't even think Jed charges $100/hour.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Try $40. Clearly I don't charge enough ???

Well, can you put me on your list for next year then since I assume you are booked for this year?

The only place I know that is $100/hr is Autoobsessed and I am pretty sure they are at $125/hr

Yeah, you should charge him more since he's going to flip the car like 2 days later.

To be fair, one that was in fairly good condition  :P

1) Any clutch buzz?
2) Plastic rear window?
3) 1st to 2nd grind?
4) Oil squirters updated?
5) AP2 retainers?
6) TCT?

Hopefully stuff has been done however I wouldn't be mad if it wasn't just based on the price I paid for the car.

Not this one.

Whoa, I never said it sucks.  I am saying I did this all wrong because of influence from other people, all I really wanted was a Miata originally and something normal to drive everyday but was told it was a bad idea and that Miatas suck, so I went with option two which was the BRZ.  Turns out I wasn't happy with it and all I needed was a Miata that I originally wanted to build, but there's nothing I can do about it now other than continue on.  Nobody is going to give me money for the BRZ so it might as well become the daily driver.

Remember when all you wanted was a miata, and you were peer pressured into the BRZ? And you would never sell the miata?

Yeah then I decided I wanted a little more in a straight line so I bought a S2000 since it combined the best of the BRZ and Miata together.

I'm not the one locked in a small red car for hours at a time with my "co-driver" with no radio... I guess it's a good thing you always ride shotgun, since your cast is on your right arm anyways.

Is it possible someone is is getting bent out of shape after all this bashing that Miata's are too slow?

Still what's your rough "hourly rate"? $100/hr?  That's what I would ask to do this paint correction stuff, it drives me nuts haha.

Man, wanna buy some magic beans?

Anyway, good price for what you got for sure.  For what you will use it for it is just fine.

I am a bit jealous for what you paid, but then I look at my minty fresh car in the garage and my regret melts away.

Racecar does not need to be perfect.  I am glad I didn't get that $30k one, for I would probably be scared to touch it and drive it it was so nice.

I have to be "that guy" and bench race.... but that guy is one of the worst drivers I've ever seen. Hands at 11 and 1 (or 8 and 1), back-end starts coming out and he doesn't correct (if you can call it that) for another two seconds, clearly lifts off throttle half way through the corner, starts to loose control and takes his hands off the wheel..... seriously, what the uckfay. How could you post that on the internet?
