Second Auto-X in the books. Still a lot slower than I'd like, and taking miles to get around corners. I kept the DSC on, and forgot somehow to engage sport mode.

That car really hauls assay man. The torque caught me completely off guard. I'm obviously too used to the S2k and the Mini.

It was absolutely a blast to get a ride along, thanks again!

Currently deciding what to do. Do I stay in BS or build the car I want in BSP? It's not like I'm running top in class anyway...

I can't imagine the car would fare better in BSP, but if mods you want to do make you end up there then whatever.

I never use sport mode, but I do turn DSC off.

The full mod list I'd like to do will bring me to SM, but That would be longer term for the car. I suppose I should actually do some leg work and draw up the mods and the direction to go and maybe prep the car in somewhat intelligible steps.... but really, this IS me we're talking about here.

Having heard not one, not two, but three Porsches on the track, I think you're crazy for giving up your Porsche!

The Z4M stays very flat on track. It's mesmerizing to watch. I should've asked for a ride!

Haha. Caymans handle really well on the track. Bernadette was amazing overall. She was pretty quiet though.

I'm always up for ride-alongs.

But it might do better locally to not be in Street against Cam, Ryan, Murray, (Tom when he wants an out of town event), etc.

With the new Calgary Venue, there will be lots of out of town events for me next year

. Street (stock) really has become an insanely competitive class to be in now. There isn't much difference between BSP and SM pax wise. If I was you I would build the car how you like it within the SM rules. At least that way there will usually be at least a few people in your class to have fun with and compare times to (I'll be there running through a new set of Hoosiers next year). BSP will become a ghost town like most of the other street prepared classes are now becoming.

Six months in and a few codes later I decided to stop borrowing code readers and finally committed to one. I decided on the Carly app and dongle for code reading and clearing, as well as coding and even battery and service resets. So far I'm impressed with it, and it never actually bonds to the car so I can help others code as well.

I still have a little troubleshooting to do on the ambient temp sensor delta, but only have the problem when I first pull out of my heated garage and drive into -30 weather. I'm not too concerned about that.

On to some fun stuff. The BMW ZCP wheels I had on the car last year are gone finally, and it's wheel shopping time. Rather predictably I'm looking at big blocky spoke wheels. It was good enough for Betty, Beatrice, and Biene... It will be great on Bianca. It won't be hard to pull the weight of the rims down from the ZCP's as they had a little heft to them. The fronts were 24lbs and the rears over 25lbs. The Enkei Kojins I'm looking at should be saving me around 16lbs total on the wheel weight. Smart shopping for tires should help a little with the total weight loss, but I'm looking for a bit more sidewall than I have in the past, so we'll see if that comes true.

For reference, these are what I'm looking at. I just waffle on going silver or black.

...and some sexy looking beast with similar styled, although much more expensive wheels.

Lastly, I have mostly completed the mini Bianca.

Managed to get a little work done on Bianca. Nothing crazy, and i'm really just writing it down so I can keep track of time on the build.

First up was a clutch stop. Bought one online for a few bucks and it cut a lot of travel out of the pedal. The start relay on the pedal is the set point as it is well past the clutch point.

Next up was a plug replacement. You Subaru folks don't need to see how easy this was....

Spark plugs in the N/A SOHC Subarus are a piece of cake. I did the spark plugs in my buddy's 2008 2.5i in around 25 mins, with little to no cussing.

Changing the spark plugs on my DOHC Legacy GT, however, made me want to die >_<
